For twenty-five years NOAH ran in-house on your server on your local area network. Sometimes the computer system broke; and we all waited for it to come back up. But most of the time the wheels just kept turning and we could do our work.
If you plan to use NOAH just for internal operations then running in-house is a fair and economical option.
If you are planning to use NOAH for internal operations and external Web site operations, then running in-house carries the risk of multiple single points of system failure that could cause your public image to go down.
If the six components listed to the left each have a probability of being up 98% of the time; the entire system only has a 89% probability of being up. Plus computers have an innate sense of the most inopportune time to fail. There is a saying that "you should never let anything mechanical know you are in a hurry!." |
